How to use the Super Hare Distress Call?
A lament whose voice works both when blown in lightly and when blown in hard
. Foxes can thus be lured from a short and very long distance
. The natural sound of this death wail is captivating. If you put the lure
in your mouth and suck in the air with a jerk, you can imitate the barking of the fox
. Made from local cherry, which guarantees the optimum sound. Incidentally, sows
and crows also often respond to this call
.
You place the shells of both hands around the decoy, open and close them while turning your head in all directions. Start quietly, then get louder and end quietly again (death wail). Only squawk
once from one place, because even the fox knows that a rabbit can only die once. If you are sitting on
a pulpit, always point the lament towards the ground, as the dying hare cannot climb onto the pulpit,
the fox knows this too.
The best time to squawk is in the first two weeks of February. The rancour is then over and the stomach is empty. If
there is still a thaw and a hazy atmosphere at this time, you can have success
as early as late afternoon. There has not been a real emergency period in winter in recent decades, but a fox
instinctively reacts to a dying hare.
